Facilities

The school was built in 1964 and a number of successful alterations have been carried out since then. During the last decade, a new Design and Technology block has been built, and the Science laboratories and the school canteen have been renovated. The building is comparatively small and learners find their way around with ease. The school has use of Mold Leisure Centre during school hours which means that a wide range of sports and clubs are available to pupils.

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

Full provision for Information and Communication Technology in 3 ICT rooms. 150+ Chromebook devices for use across the school. Cabled and WiFi networks that allow access to County networks and the Internet.

DESIGN AND TECHNOLOGY

Design and Technology block which includes provision for:

Computer Aided Design, Workshops, Food and Textiles areas.

MEETING ROOM

A purpose built room for committee meetings with interactive resources.

MUSIC

Specialist music and peripatetic teaching rooms. Digital workstations providing a range of technical resources. Apple computers running the latest versions of Logic Pro and Sibelius. High Quality Microphones and Headphones

CANTEEN

The school canteen is open every day, ‘NEWydd’ Catering provide delicious and healthy food before school (from 08:15 onwards), during break time and lunch time.

PHYSICAL EDUCATION

Full provision for Sport and Recreation – The Sport Centre, and Gymnasium offer facilities for squash, badminton, indoor tennis, table tennis, basketball, and swimming pool. Playing fields with hockey, football, rugby, cricket pitches, athletics track, tennis courts and a floodlit Astroturf pitch.
